Spring has sprung, which means the springiest of holidays, Easter, is right around the corner! If you’re looking for decor that features bunnies, eggs, and the like, then you will love this fun and easy applique! It works up quickly and is the cutest way to adorn baskets, gift wrap, pillows, blankets, t-shirts, and more! Or how about making a whole bunch of them into homemade Bunny Garland?! The possibilities are endless!

Pin it for later!

There are so many adorable features on this little rabbit! The light brown coloring makes this the perfect “woodland” styled bunny, and the white outline helps that coloring to stand out even more. To top it off, this critter has a cute little face and their own little basket of eggs! What a great applique to attach to almost any project you could think of. You could even make your own Easter Bunny yarn tote!

Here’s a “Some Bunny Loves You” pillow I made for Some Bunny I Love this year! I used my Happy Homestyle Pillow Pattern to make the pillow, this pattern for the applique, and some stitch/writing techniques that I went over in my Gingerbread Blanket Pattern to make the text. What a cute Easter, spring, or anytime gift this would make!

Although Fall has a special place in my heart as my favorite season, spring is definitely close when it comes to my favorite season! If you live in a region that experiences very “wintry” winters like mine, then you really learn to appreciate the warmth, bloom, and beauty of spring! One of the things my husband and I look forward to the most about spring is the plethora of bunnies that always start popping up in our back yard and all over our neighborhood. They’re usually a light brown color, just like this bunny applique! FYI – this color is a staple in my yarn stash: Red Heart Super Saver in Cafe Latte. You can find it on Amazon HERE!

You may remember that last year I came out with two fun spring/Easter themed projects: my Amigurumi Bunny and Amigurumi Sheep! Crocheting is a great way to celebrate the spring season. There’s still enough of a chill in the air that folks don’t mind being covered in woolly projects! And there are all kinds of cute things to be made to commemorate the spring holidays. If you haven’t already, I’d love for you to check out my Mermaid Easter Basket pattern, as well! It’s a must for any mermaid lovers!

So who’s ready to have some hippity hoppity crochet fun? I know I am – let’s go!
