Clamshell Scrubbies

I’ve designed so many mermaid themed crochet projects to date, I’m shocked I haven’t just become a mermaid! If you love mermagical patterns like my Mermaid Slouchy Hat, Mermaid Messy Bun Hat, and Mermaid Easter Basket, then prepare to love being pampered by these cute and cozy scrubbies. After finishing a year like 2020, I figured we could all use a spa day. And who doesn’t love some reusable crocheted scrubbies? They’re all the rage right now, and you know I just had to make some with a “mermaid” twist. And so this scrubbie pattern was born!

This pattern works best with cotton yarn, since it’s absorbent and easy to clean. Most of the yarns I used here were Lily Sugar n Cream Cotton – they come in tons of colors and are very affordable! You could make several scrubbies with just one tiny skein. Find them on Amazon:
