I was very much inspired by cute, kawaii drawings and clip art of ice cream popsicles when trying to initially design this pattern. For my first ever popsicle pattern, I decided to go with a more classic twist – no faces, red-white-blue coloring, etc. But in the future, I’m going to be building upon this pattern by adding fun twists like amigurumi faces, “dipped” toppings, and more! I hope you’ll stick around and follow all the fun variations I have planned for this tasty design!

I was really happy with the definition of the stitching that using cotton yarn gave to this project. I worked with two different kinds of cotton yarn here – Sugar n Cream, a go-to fave that comes in colors and variegations that seem utterly endless! And Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton, a slightly thinner cotton yarn that has a gorgeous sheen and a nice texture. You can find them both on Amazon!
