Or as a fun stocking stuffer that will keep your loved one warm all winter? The pattern is easy to follow and great for beginners and experienced crocheters alike. Plus, it doesn’t use lots of yarn, making it a great stashbuster! The slippers work up quickly, so you can make a pair for everyone on your Christmas gift list this year!

Cupcake Slippers

I’ve been designing some cupcake themed patterns lately in celebration of my upcoming birthday! (Look for some Cupcake Mittens coming soon!) What a fun, festive and personal gift these slippers make as a birthday present. They’re already somewhat birthday-themed, and it’s a gift that kids and adults alike will love for the warmth, comfort and cuteness. The pattern includes instructions on how to adjust for different sizes, so the sky’s the limit when it comes to who you can gift this to – men, women, kids, etc.! Customize your slippers with even more sprinkles (using yarn or beads) if desired, or use a speckled yarn to give the effect of sprinkles as shown here. Customize your “cake” by making it different colors, and even add different “frosting” if desired! The possibilities are endless!

Do you love crocheting cake just like me?! You might enjoy my Crochet Wedding Cake Pattern and my Amigurumi Cake Pops Pattern!

The yarn I used for the frosting on the adult slippers is the absolute perfect yarn and shade – I Love Cake by The Lemonade Shop. For the frosting seen in the process photos, I used a yarn that is also a great “cake” yarn, but sadly, is discontinued! If you’re looking for alternatives, I highly recommend Lion Brand Ice Cream Cotton Blends. It’s not speckled, but comes in all kinds of dessert-themed shades and would make some really fun cupcake slippers! I also used a cotton blend for the “cake” parts of my slippers, so the two yarns would pair well.
