They’re tasty, they’re fluffy, they’re cute, and they’re yummy – chicky nuggies are the best food plushies around! And now you can crochet as many adorable chicken nuggets as you want with this easy amigurumi pattern! Named in honor of the popular internet meme, these Chicky Nuggies live up to the cuteness of their namesake. So whether you’re making play food toys, kawaii decor, or prepping for the next craft show, this pattern is sure to satiate your nugget cravings!

Chicky Nuggies

It’s hard to beat a classic chicken nugget when it comes to comfort foods! There’s a reason they’re a staple on so many kids’ menus. And not only are they tasty, but chicken nugget plushies have become so popular – and for good reason! Just look how cute they are! They’re unique, fun, and most of all – they are incredibly easy to crochet. Since I wanted to do something to really customize my nuggets, I decided to add little sauce/dip “hats”. I’m thrilled with the results!

The yarn I used for the large size nuggies here, Bernat Sheepy in Ochre, has an amazing color and texture that truly reminds me of crispy chicken!! Sadly, this yarn appears to be discontinued and hard to find. I’ve tracked down a similar yarn, Ice Yarns Fuzzy Plush in Light Brown Panda, that I think would make some really cute softie nuggets!!

You can find that yarn on Amazon HERE
