These mushrooms put the “fun” in “fungi”! These Hearty Mushrooms are a cute, cuddly representation of lush nature and plants. Not only are they colorful and easy to make and customize, but they also have HEART SPOTS!! Heart mushrooms – need I say more?! Make these plushies in a variety of sizes, textures and colors. You can plant an entire plush garden full of these cute little sprouts! Use them as gifts, favors, or kawaii decor – the possibilities are endless!!

Amigurumi Hearty Mushroom

Mushrooms seem to be all the rage at the moment – with spring having just passed, and the popularity of cute cottagecore aesthetic – so I wanted to see what I could bring to the table in designing a cute little ‘shroom plushie! I decided to customize my mushrooms with a heart motif – something you may remember from my Hearty Penguins! They turned out incredibly cute! Once I had made one, it really “spored” me on to make a whole rainbow of them! 😉 That’s where I came up with the idea to make them in two sizes – one with super bulky weight yarn, and the other with bulky weight yarn. I’m thrilled with how they all came out!

I think Bernat Blanket Brights is the way to go for that perfect cartoon-mushroom red!!! You can grab some of the color I used (“Race Car Red”) on Amazon HERE!
